The reveal is the whole point, so it has to land. We keep the colour in the freezer and nobody sees it but us — not the guests, not the grandparents, and not you if that is how you want it.
How the reveal works
You tell us in advance which it is, or you have your midwife or a friend tell us directly so you find out at the same moment as everyone else. Either way, it stays with us.
The van serves as normal, and when you give the nod the hatch opens on the colour: pink scoops for a girl, blue for a boy. Everyone is already holding a cone and looking the right way, which is more than most reveals manage.
Why it photographs well
The guests are grouped at the hatch instead of scattered, the van gives you a bright backdrop, and the reaction happens in one place rather than spread across a garden. If someone is filming, tell them to stand back from the hatch and they will get the whole thing.
Keeping the secret
We have done enough of these to know how much it matters. The colour is not written on anything anyone can see, it is not mentioned when we arrive, and we will not so much as hint at it on the day.

Can we find out at the same time as our guests?
Yes — that is the most common way people do it. Have whoever knows send it to us directly and it will be a surprise to you too.
What if someone asks your staff on the day?
They will get nothing. Our staff know the drill and will happily play dumb for as long as it takes.
